Personal Thoughts on TV Viewing - Saturdays in the Fall
For years (when I wasn't at a game live) my Saturday routine I would be wake up, watch Gameday, and then proceed to watch football for the next 12 to 14 hours (depending on whether Hawaii was playing on TV at home).
As I got older and wiser and learned that there is only about 11 to 12 minutes of actual gameplay for what, in some cases, has become four hour games, I began to realize how much time I was wasting. Certainly, that's magnified once you start having a family and life isn't as simple as it once was.
Anyway, how many of you DVR and then watch later in the day? And not just because you have to while you're at your kids soccer game but because this is a regular standard operating procedure?
Though I do this now to some degree I reamin conflicted on this. I'm convinced that if I accidentally learn the outcome (which isn't that difficult with all the technology and information available to us now) that I will then not watch the game. Plus, I don't have any problem flipping between the plethora of live games, which is probably the greatest drawback to doing something else while the game you want to see is being recorded.
I'm sure another factor particularly for some of you millenials is you're probably live tweeting or chatting online as games are going on, but I'm not really into the interactive aspects. I like to watch a game and be focused on it. All that said, if you just focus on a couple of games you want to see, record them and watch them later you can quickly get through a whole game usually in about an hour if you fast forward through all the time in between downs.
Thoughts? Perspectives on this?

I hate watching sports on DVR. When Marshall plays away 2 or 3 buddies come over, we make a few bets and/or parlay cards and set up 2 TV's to flip back and forth between all the action. Order some food, have a few beers..it's actually a pretty fun day.
There's a funny Duck Dynasty episode where Jase is explaining to Willie how you can't watch a taped game, because the point in watching live is to will your team to victory lol. It sounds funny but I sort of feel the same way. If the outcome is predetermined it just doesn't feel the same watching.

I have set up three TV's before, but I got tired of moving them every week.
