Any Louisville fans make the drive...please send me a PM. I'll set you up at our tailgate.
Unless you're stocked with Southern Tier, I ain't goin'.

You come, I'll get some Southern Tier...gotta root for the Orange vs the Cardinal though. Not to proud to buy me some neutrals over to the Orange with some craft brew. We are going to serve some Utica Club...making a comeback like PBR. A good warm weather lawn mowing beer.

How long is the drive? I might come up, if my wife can get off work.
Wilkie..depending on traffic and how fast you drive...gonna say 11.5 hrs. I suggest you drive about 4-5 hours Thursday night. Then finish it up Friday...check into your hotel...go to the game. Let me know...I can point you to a few decently priced motels but also decent in quality. CardFan1 might be driving up too.

You don't have to worry. I'm not going to be able to make that journey this year. Already stretching my budget just trying to go to 4 FSU games this year. But if that offer holds in a few years I may revisit it. And I wouldn't mind accommodating a visiting fan/someone on here in the future if I'm able. PBR is bleh, though. So if Utica Club is anything like that it's a drink-one-to-be-nice and then not anymore beer. As long as it's not owned by a foreign company like Budweiser/Busch. F that beer company. Seriously. Don't buy their products. If you like the cheap neational beers buy MillerCoors. F*** ABInBev. I'm not kidding.

RE: I love this board!
Utica Club is an old man's beer...it was drunk by workingmen in Upstate NY in the 60's-70's. Actually it is a crisp, highly carboated lager...great on hot days. They are part of Matt's Brewery, Saranac is their most popular line now. The brewery in Utica makes all sorts of batches for other brands. Sam Adams and IIRC Brooklyn is brewed there.
I have a pair of Schultz and Dooley steins

Just let me know when you make a trip to Cuse...I can give you some tips where to stay, eat n drink.
BTW, our tailgate normally serves LaBatt's, Yuengling, Coors and Shiner (also some Bud Light lol)...along with quirky brews like Utica Club and whatever craft brew that gets brought in.

Early October...I'm thinking 60's temp tailgating. Hope the first cold front doesn't hit...usually that is mid/late October.

A 7 hour drive is about my limit for a weekend trip. I might squeeze in an 8 hour one if it's a 4 day weekend. That's a little far for my taste. I think Cuse is closer to 11 hours or so.

Depending on traffic and road construction it can be done in 10 hours. Take I-71 to I -471 around Cleveland then East on I-90 through Erie, Buffalo, Rochester then Syracuse. Toll road NY, Thruway is I-90. All expressway from Louisville. I've driven it about 25 - 30 times. Beautiful Country in that part of Upstate N.Y..

I road in a Kentucky Army National Guard convoy to Fort Drum located in Watertown, New York in Northwest New York. It is a beautiful ride to Syracuse and all through Western New York and Pennsylvania. You will probably see a lot of beautiful Fall Colors as well.

Carpool...talk Cardinal sports...it is amazing how fast time flies when I carpool on road trips with another Orange fan.
Bottomline: You guys get to Cuse I will take care of you. I can also pick you up at your motel enroute to the game. CardFan1 met me before...he can vouch that I'm insane...but mostly harmless.
BTW, CardFan1...I'm doing lunch next week at the Boondocks.

Love that place. Wish it had been there all those years We had to drive up to Watertown or Lowville or Your neck of the woods Sacketts Harbor. I would love to have a place there in S.H. on the Lake like that. S.H. Brewery is a blast. Check out the Tug Hill Winery on the road out of Lowville going towards Adams Center. Near Barnes Corner. Incredible place and view.
Still working on Wife, There is a Major Rock Music Festival going on in Louisville featuring Kid Rock and Judas priest amongst Bourbon and Craft Beer and Twenty other name acts that has Her excited.
