Word is that he will go in the first ten picks of the NBA draft on Thursday. Could go as high as 7th to the Lakers.

Interesting. I recall Joe Kleine saying he wasn't ready for the NBA because he couldn't shoot. Obviously someone believes he is.04-cheers

Predictions of where he will go are quite varied, but he is definitely trending upwards.

He is getting props for his defense. Everyone is now hoping for the next kawhi leonard. A good defensive player with long arms and has the potential to develop their offensive game. Leonard went from shooting 25% from 3 in college and now is shooting about 40% from a further 3 in the nba. A lot of scouts think a good team culture can improve payton shooting.

I was hoping that he would go unnoticed and happen to fall into my spurs draft pick. It sounded like the spurs were impressed with his workout and interview with them. If the spurs are impressed that says a lot.

Taken 10th by Charlotte, but immediately traded to Orlando who had the 12th pick.
