Talk on BGN about our commish having to ask for a map to list our current schools. I hope that is false, but suspect it is absolute truth.

It's one thing if a causal fan is dizzy with all the movement, but if you're one job is to improve a league of schools and you cannot list what schools, you should resign on the spot.

Maybe some of the new schools will do better than us old leftovers of holding the dimwit accountable.

Looks like from the tweets in the other thread he was using the map to explain the significance of our spread geography, not to identify what schools are in conference.

According to this tweet he only makes $500,000. For that pitiful amount he shouldn't have to know more than half the member shools.

Exactly. Base salary and total compensation are to separate numbers. Banowsky is getting good jack anyway you look at it.

That all depends... are they counting his air travel between members and hotel accommodations while working part of his compensation -- I'd expect for the conference to pay for hotels during meetings, visits, etc... a salary of $500,000 and benefits is not really a ton in the grand scheme - considering there are athletic staff in these members schools making more than that - without being responsible for more than a dozen schools.

Would think he'd be up to date on who pays the bills. However, there does seem to have been some confusion with terminology.

When asked to recite a list, many people who "know" the list will reach a point at which they are not sure which ones have been left out so far. Try reciting the names of the 50 states. Most people reach about 47 and draw a blank. Too big? OK, give me the Seven Dwarfs and Santa's reindeer (8 or 9 depending on Guess Who). The original 13 colonies? (might be more apropos this situation).

Might of have been just playing it safe.

The fact that Mark Emmert is the President of the NCAA just irks the ever-living **** out of me. 5-10 years ago he was running LSU. He probably still draws money from that cesspool.
