It is a criminal offense to knowingly defraud the government and now the Arizona Republic has used a FOIA to obtain documents that show the top VA officials were aware two years ago about the hidden wait lists and nonetheless allowed bonuses to be paid.

Isn't it time to fire and prosecute these entrenched bureaucrats who have been stealing from the taxpayers?

Arizona Republic investigative report

Oh and Mach, Rupert Murdoch doesn't own the Arizona Republic; Gannett does.

Had this been a private company and bonuses were paid like they were here Holder would be prosecuting people and the left would tie it all back to greedy CEOs and Bush.

Too bad Eric Holder isn't interested because it can't be used as a racial rallying point.

So far none of "his people" were reported to have died due to the long waiting time. When one of his people goes on TV and say their father died because he couldn't get an appointment that's when Holder's attitude will change.

Yup.

I loathe Holder. He's a dispicable human being.

Actually that's a very good point. I suspect that a disproportionate number of those on the waiting list are minorities due to a higher than average representation (34%) in the military during the Vietnam era. It would seem logical that this could easily be made into a racial issue, except that it would look bad when the government is discriminatory.
