DEKALB, Ill. - Northern Illinois will host "Movie Night at Huskie Stadium" on Friday, August 1, as Huskie fans will be able to meet NIU head coaches and watch a movie on the Huskie Stadium videoboard. Fans can vote for "Frozen", "The Lego Movie" or "Little Giants", via the poll on NIUHuskies.com.

Admission to "Movie Night at Huskie Stadium" is free and the gates will open at 6 p.m., when fans will have the opportunity to meet and mingle with NIU head coach as the NIU Summer Circuit makes its final stop inside Huskie Stadium. NIU Director of Athletics Sean Frazier and Huskie coaches will speak to the crowd at 6:30 and the chosen movie will begin at 7 p.m. Voting for the "Movie Night at Huskie Stadium" movie will close on Friday, July 11, at 5 p.m.

All seating will be on the turf (no chairs) and except for bottled water; no food or beverages are allowed. Footballs and other balls cannot be brought into the stadium.

NIU will also host its season ticket holder appreciation event on August 1 in coordination with "Movie Night at Huskie Stadium," further details for the season ticket holder event will follow in the coming weeks. Fans that have not yet purchased season tickets can "Select-A-Seat" as available seats will be marked and NIU Athletics representatives will be on hand to take orders and answer questions about season tickets.

I believe Tuesday the 24th is NIU night in downtown Sycamore. I don't see it on the athletic site, so could someone confirm this.

It was supposed to be last week but got rained out.

I did not see anything on the athletics site about it...though I did not last year either.

I found it on the discover Sycamore web site. June 24 NIU night 5:30-7:30, meet NIU players and coaches.

Is anyone out there planning on attending this? I've seen Frozen like 20 times to this point, but I'm contemplating making the drive out there on a Friday night with my kid.

One question I had is do they plan on taking down the south end goal post so it doesn't block a full view of the scoreboard?

I will at least make an appearance. Bring my girls will totally depend on if they are good that day or not. Ya I too have seen that movie 20+ times just since June 7th.

Its 2 weeks away so I was hoping that they would have the rest of the info for the season ticket holder appreciation part of the event.

I do not think they took down the goal post for the movie.
