Iran rejects "excessive demands" in nuclear talks with six powers
obama originally signed onto this horrible "deal to make a deal" because he desperately needed a foreign policy win. now, there is even more danger than he will sign onto an even worse permanent deal because he is even more desperate for a foreign policy win.

Quote:Iran rejects 'excessive demands' in nuclear talks with six powers

VIENNA (Reuters) - Iran told six big powers on Friday it would not accept their "excessive demands" after the latest talks on lifting sanctions against Tehran in exchange for curbs on its nuclear work yielded no breakthrough, with a deadline for a deal looming.

Iran and the United States, Russia, China, France, Britain and Germany are striving for a comprehensive settlement by July 20 that would defuse fears of a new Middle East war over a dispute that has stoked geo-strategic tensions for a decade.

A six-month extension has been mooted, but this would raise jitters since Israel has warned it could bomb Iranian nuclear sites if it deems diplomacy incapable of reining in Tehran.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif highlighted the stubborn gulf between the sides, urging the six nations to "abandon excessive demands which will not be accepted by Iran".

This is not anything new. The US and Iran have alternately cooperated with and undermined each other in both Iraq and Afghanistan for nearly 15 years, and that has always mixed into nuclear negotiations. Now, the leverage has turned in Iran's favor. If we allow Iraq to become Iran's problem, that may swing back the other way because I don't think they have the economic strength to manage both Iraq and Syria.

Iran had out maneuvered the West for two decades now. They will have nuclear weapons in the next few years and it isn't possible to stop them.

Let the IRGC commit their forces to Lebanon Syria and Iraq. Nobody left at home to guard the Mullahs.
