AAC Corporate Partners
FYI: http://theamerican.org/sports/2013/12/5/...path=about

Why not post this on your school's messageboard(s) so that our corporate partners might receive the extra support that they deserve? I am seriously considering giving some of them my business in the future. On another note, it looks as though there is plenty of room for more partners.

We are a new, and recently maligned conference. Maybe if we spread the word, more will sign on. Who knows? There might even be a corporation in North Carolina that would be interested.

Wheres FedEx? Golden Corral and BB&T CEOs are ECU grads. I wonder who pursues these for the conference.

RE: AAC Corporate Partners
Where are the following corp sponsors:

Hartford Financial Services Group-- UConn
Comcast-- Temple
US Airways- Temple
Proctor & Gamble-- Cincinnati
Kroger Co.--- Cincinnati
Macy's-- Cincinnati
Fed Ex-- Memphis
Disney-- UCF

Where are all the rich oil and tech companies that are booming in Texas and Tulsa?

Where are the North Carolina based businesses (since you ECU posters remind us all the time you are the #2, maybe #3 school in the state)?

FedEx supports the hell out of Memphis to the tune of many multiple millions. What else should they do?

Golden Corral and BB&T are both regional. Doubt they would sponsor a conference where most of the teams are outside their footprint

Apparently I'm wrong. PA, MD, OH, TN, LA, OK do have them. Never seen one North of VA in my life though. Thought they were only and South East thing

I've never heard of BB&T but Golden Corral is pretty spread around.

In regards to upstream oil companies, they don't really tend to support athletics as much corporately, because they don't really stand to gain anything. Conoco or Occidental aren't going to gain or lose business by putting their name on a sign at a football game.

Private sponsors like Boots Adams are a bit of a different monster, but that's more of an alumni thing. Our oil companies tend support a whole lot of graduate research.

Becoming an AAC corporate partner would be nice. I am disappointed that they have not. Probably afraid that it might piss off local SEC big-shots.

I remember being promised by some Memphis fans that FedEx would give the conference $10 million a year and guarantee we would anchor the Liberty Bowl. Maybe even pay to make sure we had a BCS slot. Or something bizarro like that.

Your version is a bit distorted/exaggerated, but I, for one, certainly did say that Fed Ex would support the Big East significantly. Maybe they still will. Or maybe the deal was off with the loss of BCS status. Sorry - unlike you, I'm not always right.

There was just a lot of chest thumping from some Memphis fans about all of this awesome conference FedEx support would be rolling in thanks to Memphis.

And when some rational posters expressed doubts, the Memphis fans got all huffy and indignant. As it turned out, pretty silly. 03-razz

At that time it was the Big East with Louisville, Rutgers, the C7, ND olympic sports, and a BCS bid.

Things change.
