Just the color you want to see on a dreary, cloudy, rainy day in late fall with the Eagles traiing 37-10 with a crowd of 1,612.

I was thinking about the same thing. This should also make the games that snow even harder to tell where you are on the field.

They should have made the yardage lines green...if they should have I guess.

In their research on what could make watching EMU football more depressing, it came down to gray turf or rehiring Ron English, but to yell at the fans this time.

And why are most of the seats in the end zone?

That is the worst stadium I've ever seen.

Next time you complain about Huskie Stadium, look at Lindenwood.

Lindenwood competes in the NAIA. Not a school to compare to NIU in any respect, facilities or otherwise.

And there is very little room for expansion with railroad tracks on one side and buildings (which could be removed) on the other side. I would guess you'd move the stadium if expansion was ever an issue.

Now there's an idea. A white field with green lines.

Why not just bury a giant defroster under the field, with heated lines going across the yard lines. It works on the rear window of my car.

Having 2500 people (or less) in the stands for Homecoming or Senior Day has got to be rough for the EMU football players. What do recruits think when they come to a game and see almost nobody in the stands?
