So we got blue at Boise. Red at Eastern Washington, I believe.

Gray coming to EMU. Think I saw that Washington State is also going gray.

Maybe they should rename Rynearson "Grey Goose" Stadium.

Pls. no jokes about renaming the team: Geese, instead of Eagles. Like 'Sometimes we fly like Eagles, sometimes we ... like geese'.

change is good, i like the new color scheme in EMU uni's

"Grey area" is an idiom used to mean in between, as in EMU is "in between" FBS and FCS. Can't these University administrators see where this could lead the conversation?

EMU's field was already in the team's official color (green). Did EMU add the color grey to its uniforms just so it could make this change?

I'm not a fan of gimmicks.

On a different note, why did EMU decide to go with the Eagle instead of the Emu as a mascot? Emus, by the way, have grey plumage.

The emu bird was submitted by a number of people when the name was changed, under protest from the tribe, from the Hurons. It is a fitting nickname because the emu will stick it's head in the sand to hide from reality.

The rule bans Boise, Washington St., etc. from wearing all blue or all red on their respective fields because the color of the turf matches their uni color...or that's the way I understood it to be...

I got inklings there will be more announcements (mostly about the stadium) but I'll wait an hour rather than speculate.

I've gotten some answers like "No", "2015", etc. when I asked about improvements to the stadium.

BTW, we are to host MI State in 2020 and as of noon today we have inadequate lighting for HD television, a grossly inadequate scoreboard, a grossly inadequate press box, concessions, etc.

If the game is to stay in Ypsilanti and not get moved to Ford Field EMU has work to do to get our stadium up to the level of say what CMU's was when they hosted MSU.

It might have been a rule for a year or so, I don't know. And I think it was (or would have been) only for MWC games, so they could wear all blue for OOC games.

What they really need to change is that block E.

What I like is that the track is red, the field gray, surrounded by green Field Turf and the wall murals are green so there are a lot of colors which break up a sea of green which we are used to seeing, including green unis.

The field looks great, the track does not.
