Playoff Committee has focal points (ESPiN)
"...Luck said the five sitting athletic directors on the committee -- Arkansas' Jeff Long, Wisconsin's Barry Alvarez, USC's Pat Haden, Clemson's Dan Radakovich and Luck -- from the power five conferences all will be sharing information about teams from their leagues. But they won't be shilling for them."

Yeah, RIGHT! 03-shhhh

Four slots and 5 P5 conferences you do the math at least one P5 conference each year will be kept out which is why as much as they say they won't expand playoffs for awhile I don't believe them. Let the BIG get left out two years in a row and watch Delany start fighting for playoff expansion

Yup...except given how many SEC teams are highly ranked every year, I think they'll get 2 of 4 bids most years. The 4 team playoff won't last long with two conferences not having representation.

Was thinking the exact same thing. Expansion is baked into this thing.

Agree. I think each power five conference will receive an automatic bid in an 8 team playoff. The key will be the G5 converting their access bowl spot into a playoff spot leaving only two at larges bids. In my view that is a win-win for everyone because the money should increase as well. Its also easier to be the best G5 champion than it is to win the SEC or Big XII.

Seeing how sponsors are dropping-out, I have my doubts we will see further movements, particularly increasing the pot/$$$ anytime soon.
