Early lines - Golden Nugget
UCF is a 2.5 pt dog to PSU. Pretty shocked that UC is giving 21. I know tOSU hasn't lost much lately but 21 seems like a slap to the AAC.

I'd take cincy with 21. That is a lot of points

RE: Early lines - Golden Nugget
It's a Top 5 team at home versus a complete wild card that no one has any idea how they will look. I'm not surprised by the line. I can't imagine it was an easy one to handicap at this juncture. Every UC fan's fear is that we won't look good coming out of the gate this season and the OSU game will be a blowout. A lot depends on the arm of Gunner Kiel. Until our first game, I have no idea what we will look like. We could be a Top 20 team, or we could be a 7-5 disaster.

We are also 11 point dogs to the canes in Miami. Same thinking applies. 19 point favorites against USF (not much respect there) and 10 point favorites against UConn. Essentially, if you are a believer in UC this year (and you would have more faith than me), take the 21 points against OSU and the 11 against Miami (FL) because those lines will drop if UC looks good in their first 2 games.

I think Cincy covers against OSU. In-state rivals typically get up for one another and UCF played them to a 15 point game.

Well if you can't hang inside of a 3 td game to any team you shouldn't be in a access bowl discussion. That is a lot of points but urban will run-up the score if he can.

WVU is supposed to be really bad this year. Orlando Sentinel ranks them at #90.

It's not a "slap at the AAC." It's harsh on the Bearcats, but nobody gives a crap about the conference.

FWIW, this has the potential to be an ugly game... Take the Buckeyes and the points.

Gamblers don't care about conferences. They want to win money.

Wow. It seems like they joined the B12, and the bottom fell out of their athletics department

That's pretty interesting considering all of the threads that sound something like "Would you be P5 if you were a permanent dweller, or G5 if you were consistently a top team?"

Not that WVU is going to be a permanent dweller.

I think it has more to do with coincidence... Bad AD, really bad FB coach, and a bad couple of seasons for an accomplished BB coach.

As long as Holgerson is at the helm, the FB program will be a loser. As long as Luck is the AD, Holgerson will be the FB program but also the fan base will erode. (WVU fans in general are disgruntled at Luck re-doing long-standing ticket arrangements, etc...)

Change just needs to happen if WVU wants to turn things around. It would be absolutely the same if WVU were in the AAC...

But I digress.

No kidding we shouldn't. I didn't say we are going to get blown out. But if the team is a 7-5 disaster (see where I commented above) then that game will be a blowout. At 7-5 I don't think we'll be in the access bowl discussion. I'm not saying we are going to be bad, because I think we will be solid this year. I just don't know what we will look like.
