You may try Best Buy on Winchester. They carry a lot of Bowers and Wilkins so they may be able to help you.

I think they are gone. Halford Speakers in Cooper-Young might be able to help.

They are there but the sign says closed every time I drive by - even in the middle of the week.

It's a shame.

Hey bengltgrs, I have some B&Ws too - don't trust them to any old joe schmo.

There is a very good electronics repair shop (not sure if they do speakers) that someone has recommended here before - I can't remember their name - they are out by Wolfchase in an unmarked building and don't really advertise. They know their stuff (I took an old receiver to them) and if they do speakers, I'd take it to them. They have at least one older semi-retired EE on staff.

I'll try to find the name in a bit.

I think Halford worked for Speaker Services; I took my JBLs to them and he either bought out SS or was the lead guy there, I can't remember which.

I need the name of that electronics repair shop, I have a Crown amp I need worked on.

Speaker services was on Madison for 20 years or more. I don't remember the guys name. They did great work. I had not heard of this Halford place. They are carrying some pretty good stuff. I bet there is a connection to Speaker Services. Just a guess.

Maybe George Merrill at The Analog Emporium In Cordova can fix it. Is it the amp, or the speaker driver itself? We sold lots of B&W's at Underground Sound.

George is still around? Who knew. And another stereo salesman...again, who knew?

Just spoke to George and he can fix my Crown amp for me. Yee-haw! And just spoke to Halford about my speakers that need repair. Double yee-haw!

Old George is still around.
He did some work for me not too terribly long ago (which in turn led to me having to purchase something new from halford--not bc George did anything wrong... he had to tell me that my old friend from the 80s couldn't be saved.... oh the humanity)
He only works a couple days a week tho. He's out off germatnown pkwy...

Custom electronics is the place I was thinking of - they do amps, TVs, and receivers but not speakers.

I was really impressed at how detailed they were. They do no advertising - all word of mouth. They give a one year warranty parts and labor on all work.

Glen Cammack was the owner of Speaker Services. He is one hell of a blues guitar player, and blues historian.

Glenn Cammack, that was his name. If anyone called with a speaker problem, that is who we sent them to. I just blanked on his name.
