Western Carolina is my Alma mater and they are terrible. If they give USF a scare it will be a long season for the bulls. lol.

USF will surprise all of those expecting the same type of team as last year to show up.

Agree. I expect you to go 6-6 or better.

Boise State @ Ole Miss
Fresno State @ USC

For the first time in my life as a football fan, I'm going to be rooting for the money. I feel dirty, but we need the top MWC teams to lose so that we control our fate.

By the same token, I fully expect that everyone outside the AAC is going to be rooting for Penn State to beat UCF opening weekend.

The big AAC OOC games are as follows:

BYU @ UConn
Temple @ Vandy
SMU @ Baylor
UCF vs Penn State

At best I think we could go 2-2 with our big OOC games the first week, but even that is a stretch.

Absolutely. Unlike last year, we are now in direct competition with all the other G5 schools for the access bowl slot. We have to root for every other G5 conference to drop games to the P5.

All of them.

Honestly can't pick just one. If I had to I guess it would be FSU v Okie St and UCF v PSU.

For what it's worth my entire football fandom has been about playing UCF again. The last two times we played them - at home in 2010 it was 61-14 and even worse in 2009 at UCF it was 49-0 and we had FIFTY YARDS OF TOTAL OFFENSE.

I have yet to get over those two games. They haunt me. Of all the low points we have had as Tulane fans those two games were it for me. The fact that UCF was that flat out dominant against us. We have had our share of butt whoopings but those two stand out to me the most. Tulsa and UH put some good whoopings on us but it was mostly them being just flat out way faster than us. UCF physically punished us. I think about them every football season and I was never happier than the day we ended up back in the same conference as them.

10/18/14.

UTSA @ Houston - Just to shut those yokels from San Antonio up and put them in their place.

App State @ Michigan- Should be obvious, right?

UCF vs Penn State- Big AAC statement game.

WVU vs Bama- I love watching the Mountaineers get pounded.

Would never have guessed. Thanks for sharing. Always interesting to see things from a different perspective.

Perceived bottom dwellers need to "shock the world" and put the AAC on subject line of sports broadcasters. The AAC's OOC results will tell how we look going forward. Each team has to take the "punch the biggest kid in the room right in the mouth" mentality.

Have to agree here.
