Winning the NCAA Championship is helping Kevin Ollie with recruiting:

Good for UConn. One would certainly expect a NC would have that effect on recruiting. This conference needs as many strong teams in each of the two revenue sports, as possible. Winning a NC is the ultimate.

Congrats to UConn.

We have more strong teams at the top than most conferences. 5 of the Top 25 Ranked teams in the country last year were in the AAC, and we had the national champion. I like how USF, Houston, etc, are picking up steam in their recruiting now. The new coaches of this conference have a great standard to recruit to now, because of the Kevin Ollies and Larry Browns of the AAC. It's exciting to see how our coaching fraternity is making this conference one of the strongest. I'm very excited about what Kelvin Sampson is doing as well.

This is going to be a great hoop conference. With the recent coaching hires, the AAC has a lot of quality coaches who are serious about winning. Names like Kevin Ollie, Larry Brown, Mick Cronin, Josh Pastner, Kelvin Sampson, Frank Haith, and Fran Dunphy are well known to fans and recruits. Orlando Antigua at USF seems like he will prove his doubters wrong and get USF going in the right direction.

The AAC is looking like a hoops power to me.
