He got his points in four nasty, lopsided loses but the point remains, a team of mostly foreign players wiped the floor with them and he quit, took his ball and moved home. Thought he was staying for four or five like he said in that circus show when he signed?! 03-lmfao

I know that when you and I were 25 years old, our fame, talent and wealth were beyond measure and we handled our time in the limelight, at such a young age, with class, dignity, virtue, graciousness and wisdom. I only wish Lebron had measured up to our lead. Oh, if only he and the rest of the gifted used their gifts as we did. 04-rock

People in Akron have known him since he was born, so yeah.

I watched videos of him in AAU tourneys in junior high. He looked like a middle schooler, and wasn't the standout on his AAU team. Between his sophomore and junior year he physically matured beyond anyone's expectations. Secretariat had a heart two and a half times normal size. Perhaps LJ is similar in that he was just a freak athlete.

He played WR as a junior. Mooch once said he would have been better than Calvin Johnson had he opted for football.

Be careful with the facts, they cloud my fun. I like it better on the board when DB and his snarling band of board denizens comes across as wild-eyed, fanatics, no evidence needed, facts not wanted, nor valued, conspiracy-grounded birther types.

Facts are hard, cold and substantial, they are real; made up narratives on the other hand, are elusive, whimsical, easy to spout, and hard to refute.

So yeah, screw your videos, and what you think you saw, Lebron is 42. 05-stirthepot

Who's ranting. I don't buy it, he's fading fast and coming home to where it's safe to fade.

Funny how any and every team in the NBA was chasing this fading guy. If that's fading, then Fade on!

Lakers, Cavs, Suns, Heat, Rockets and Mavs were documented to have met with Lebron's people. More teams likely behind the scenes.

Here's how I look at it: those of us hiding at home, posting from behind our computer screens at a distance, are more skilled than NBA guys who are professionals, and are up close and evaluating talent. So of course I agree with you and your assessment of Lebron.

Let's admit it, the Heat, Cavs, Suns, Lakers, Mavs and Rockets were foolish for pursuing Lebron. I'm surprised he had any offers at all, or that the Heat even wanted him back after winning "only" two NBA titles in four years. What knuckleheads. That'd be like WMU extending Hawk after winning the MAC.

In the spirit of forum wisdom that we all embody, I would also opine that I know more about your profession than you do. I'm also more knowledgable about football than Hoople, Kimbo and especially PJ. After all, I read things and post things on a forum, all they've actually done is coach. 03-banghead

You'd be surprised at what I read on boards from people that think they know more about my profession that I.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't at all! Common ground03-nutkick

I do think Lebron might be an "old" 29 due to the fact that he's played more minutes than any player over his career. He's also played on several Olympic teams, so we'll see.
