How would you classify Lousiville, Rutgers, or the AAC for that matter, last year?
Were they all considered G5 in 2013?

that is a tricky one. I would say no, they shouldn't count.

The G5 (or future G5) was 23-113 vs the P5 (or future P5) last season overall, including 3-7 in bowl games, and 9-22 at home.

I wonder what that would look like if you only included teams, P5 or G5, that won at least 5 games that season, to get rid of Ws over struggling teams. In other words, you don't count games like 10-win Rice beating 3-win Kansas, and you also don't count games like 9-win Notre Dame beating 2-win Temple.

I would like to see the Win/Loss percentages of G5 vs. P5 games when they are home games for the G5 and when they are home games for the P5?

There was no G5 last year. The AAC with RU and UL was a BCS conf.

Correct and in My opinion it puts Houston, Memphis, SMU and UCF in the same category as UC, USF, Temple and UConn . These 8 schools are now former BCS Schools that for reasons beyond Their control are Outside looking in. They should be given Priority first for conferences expanding before any other G5 ever gets an offer to P5. Seniority in this buisness should count just like at GE, Ford, GM. They are laid off BCS and should have recall rights before new P5 Hires.

Yes but They all are former BCS schools. No one else except BYU maybe can claim that title. ND is currently in a P5 Conference for everything else so I don't count Them as former BCS.

Let's see what they can do next season now that the realignment chairs have stopped.
It'd being interesting to see FCS vs G5 and FCS vs P5.

I basically gave that to you, but since you don't have access to a calculator:
G5 at home vs P5: 9-22 0.290
G5 in neutral (bowl) vs P5: 3-7 0.300
G5 on the road at P5: 11-84 0.116

My records show that P5 was 100-14 against G5 (including AAC) and 55-4 against FCS in the regular season. Louisville and Rutgers were included in the AAC.
AAC was 4 -11 against their betters while MWC went 0-18. Don't have figures for the other 3 mid majors.
By conference vs G5:
ACC 21-5
B1G 21-5
SEC 23-2
Big12 14-2
Pac12 15-0
ND 4-0

Great!
So I calculated the overall records. G5 vs FCS 36-11. P5 vs FCS 54-4.
With exception of the SBC. The MWC/AAC/CUSA & MAC had exceptional records vs the FCS schools.
Good thing is even though the G5 does has a poor record vs the P5, the FCS has a poor record against the G5. I was wondering if FCS and G5 were somewhat close but last years records shows that isn't the case.

Considering all of the G5 vs. FCS games are at home for the G5, I would expect so. I actually think 36-11 is somewhat weak considering.
It should also be noted though that 3 of those 11 losses were the fault of Georgia State, a transition team.

RE: Does anyone have the stats on what the G5 vs P5 record was last year?
The problem with looking at the records of G5 v P5 is that not all G5 are created equal. East Carolina can go into Chapel Hill and Raleigh and beat UNC and NC State....does anyone really expect Eastern Michigan to do that?
I think the best way to look at it is by conference...what was CUSA's record v P5 (home and away) and the Sun Belt's, the MAC's, etc...
