Can't find it on ESPN3 but tracking.

http://results.flashresults.com/2014_Mee...6-1-01.htm

In the 2nd round (1st flight - I think they divide the field into two parts), Donald Scott has the best jump so far: 52' 21/2" :)

IF I understand it correctly, the top 9 (of 24?) advance to the finals.

There are some triple jumpers who are hitting their stride in the 3rd round. Scott has fallen to 5th.

This is going to be a nail biter to get to the finals.

Scott finishes in 9th and last place (out of 24) to advance to the finals.

RE: On to Eugene, Ore (T&F)
BTW, I've seen Scott listed as essentially a redshirt junior.

Apparently he didn't compete in one indoor season and didn't compete in one outdoor season.

He might have his fifth year of eligibility.

I don't know if T&F considers indoors and outdoors as separate seasons where say an athlete can redshirt a 'half' year, either indoor or outdoor seasons.
