Take Cover! Stay safe, got some headed our way about hour from now. Last time I saw a cloud like that was the 2012 out break that took my grandparents house.

I got some great shots from my patio of the same front. Heck of a defined wall cloud that gave us 60-70mph wind gusts.

The City of Huntington tweeted that sections of 42 roadways in and around Huntington are affected by downed trees and power lines.

That was a wicked storm. Still many without power. No major damage from what I can see or hear from the news media.

RE: Storm pic
Power just came on at 6:30PM. Living on the Southside, mind blown that it would take this long to get it turned back on. Our power was out for 7 days after the derecho a few years ago. It's odd seeing our string of a few blocks dark and then everything else city proper lit. Seems like everyone else always has power and we go back on when the WOWers go back on.

I raced that bastard to the mall and watched Xmen while all hell broke loose around us. Barely got there before the storm hit, though, and the car was being pushed all over the road as we sped up Rt 60.

We sometimes get those high winds but instead of rain we get blowing dust. The wind we're used to the rain not so much. That's why we get a lot of flooding.

Take cover, don't take chances.

Ugh blowing dust sucks. Getting dirt in your eyes and the way it stings when it hits you, no muy bueno.
