Weare, I'm fine, just sick of walking on egg shells because who like to dish out, but can't take it.I have no issue with CUSA or Marshall, the game last , was just that last year, in the past. I have nothing, but respect for most of the poster here and enjoy ECU's time in CUSA and enjoyed the rivalries we had with USM, Marshall, UTEP, Memphis, UCF, UH, Cinny, and others over the years. But, Olliebaba's swipe at ECU, was not needed and uncalled for. It had nothing to with Marshall or last year's game. I've been to Marahall 3 times and enjoyed all 3 trips. But, I'll leave thread alone since some build a bridge and get over the fact the ECU decided to leave, which BTW, I wasn't in favor of as the teams I wanted ECU to play had already gone for the most part.

No one here cares. Why the #%$^ are you still here. You are done with CUSA athletically. In 22 days you will be done with CUSA academically and finally a "GUEST" on this board and hopefully the admin here will start splitting yours and the rest of the Butt Pirates rants and put them on the smack board.

Every time one of you ECWhoers sees a Marshall thread that mentions how well college football pundits think Marshall will do and if it mentions "THE BEATDOWN" 59-28, ECWhoers lose their friggin minds. The thing is no matter if its day before yesterday, 3 days from now, 4 months ago or a year from now it will stay the same. On Nov 29, 2013 ECWho got the crap kicked out of them in their last CUSA football game by 31 points and at one time was down 39.

If you was in favor of the move or not its really not relevant. Thanks for the exit fee, move on and enjoy being 4th or 5th in the AACk in football and winning 10-12 basketball games a year.

It's not about eggshells, man. This is a thread about Marshall being ranked 19th in a preseason poll. It does not pertain to ECU. No one in this conference will play ECU this year. It is not cool to constantly make it all about you. You didn't even win this conference last year, and neither did we.

Your sole purpose was to beat your chest and defend some slight to your fragile ego. If you are going to police every negative post about ECU's grandiose delusions, there is plenty to keep you occupied on your board. If you have something relevant to add to the topic, share it. Even if it's negative, we can take it--just don't make it about the great and powerful ECU. I have no problem with your decision to change conferences; we have a problem with your consistent grandizing and gloating. If you have no respect for the members of this conference, don't post here--very simple.

For all other posters, sorry for the hi-jack of the thread, but it gets tiring having some ECU posters constantly denigrate my alma mater and our conference mates. I do realize this is not representative of all of their fan base, but some need to learn to lose with a little grace and gain some perspective.

You people get riled up over the stupidest stuff. Now I guess you know how it is between MT and WKwho.

I think some of it has to due with how they have seen how Doc rebuild us into a really good program. And they know that in 2003 they could have had him. Hamrick had already offered the position to Doc when their chancellor nixed the hire and forced Hamrick to hire John Thompson. Its the biggest reason Hamrick took the UNLV job a few months later, this came straight from Hamrick himself.

Yeah, I think you are right. I personally don't see us as a #19 team, because legitimate knocks on SOS will hold us back. Plus, I think we would have to be undefeated to get that kind of ranking, and that's hard for ANYONE to do. But what you do have to acknowledge is that Doc has built a solid team, and has returned Marshall to the kind of team that can match the fan's expectations. The man can recruit. I think we'll be important players in C-USA for quite a while with Doc around.

In some respects, we will really see what kind of coach Doc is this year managing against those expectations. As he said himself, the biggest thing Marshall's team and fans have to manage this year is our own complacency as a team. That's going to be hard to do, particularly if we are successful. We still have to play six games on the road, and our toughest challenges are at home. If we don't approach every game with absolute focus and bring our A game, we won't be talking about any kind of rankings.

It has been twelve long years since I've been excited about preseason rankings. I think Playboy ranked Marshall #14 or something before the 2002 season.
