Ed Orgeron to Nebraska?
Bo Pelini has been on the "lukewarm" seat for longer than most people can remember...and I wonder if Nebraska is just waiting for the right guy to come in. I don't know what his contract situation looks like, but he sure seems to have a love-hate relationship with the Husker faithful.
As a Big Ten fan, I want to see high-profile, exciting NAMES to come into the conference. And we need to get after recruiting more than we have.
Orgeron seems poised for another big-time job after the way he finished at USC. Just feels like he could be a good fit at Nebraska.

Orgeron has HC at a directional Louisiana school written all over him.

RE: Ed Orgeron to Nebraska?
Frost seems like a nice fit if he can get a bit of a resume under him at Oregon. He was just the WR coach a year or two ago right. Seems like a pretty fast ascent to me. Frost would be a popular choice in Lincoln, I'd presume, but they need to get back in the big leagues and Orgeron is not only a ferocious recruiter (Miami in the 90s, USC in the early 00s, SEC HC experience) but he's got a name and resume that's extensive.
I doubt a blue chip recruits in New Jersey (one of Nebraska's old stomping grounds) know who Scott Frost is, but Ed Orgeron is a name/face they'd recognize. And once you get Fast Eddie in this living room, it's hard to say no to him.

Even when he does his crazy antics (tearing off his shirt in front of recruits parents), questionable recruiting practices and goes 3-9 most years?
If I had a kid who was an FBS recruit, I would not let "Fast Eddie" in my living room. I likely would tell my kid to look elsewhere and not even answer the phone when Ed called.

I don't see Nebraska taking a chance on Orgeron. When they replace Pellini they will pretty much have to find a "name" coach with an almost impeccable resume to satisfy the fanbase.
That being said, I see Eddie O. getting another shot at a HC job in the near future based on what he did with a USC team last year that had simply quit and not in an almost impossible situation like Ole Miss and having far more success than everyone gives him credit for.
