St Justin Martyr on the Westside too.
I never would have guessed. The vast majority of Christians in Nigeria are Protestant, so I assumed the Nigerian communities here would be largely Protestant as well. Who knew?

The Roman Catholic Church has the largest membership of any Christian community in Nigeria, anywhere from about one-tenth to one-sixth of the total population, depending on whose numbers you use, and about one-quarter to one-third of all Christians. It may be that Jake's and Da.Owl's experiences are because their parishes are in areas where many members of the Ibo community have settled. The majority of Catholics in Nigeria are Ibo, and if many of those in the Houston area decided to settle in the same neighborhood (as is often the case with ethnic groups), then it makes sense that a lot of them would be attending those parishes.

Here's one very spacious and comfortable sports bar that will be showing the U.S.-Germany game: Minute Maid Park!

And it's dollar hot dog day as well.
It's not often that you get to sing the National Anthem twice in one place in one day.
