The main reason AARP supported Obamacare is that they believed that Obamacare was going to eliminate Medicare Advantage. If you have a MA policy, you don't need supplemental insurance (MediGap) which AARP sells. I recall seeing that over 50% of AARP's revenue were from selling MediGap. The greedy bastards are only looking out for themselves.

I have torn up at least a 50 letters from the AARP since I turned 50. I have no need for them. I did not sit back and expect the fcking government to take care of me in my old age. I did the things necessary to provide for my security. I am honestly not a fan of joining any group that does lobbying in Washington. It makes me feel dirty.
