Feinstein may be a lot of things....stupid is not one of them. She is not going to be twisting in the wind on this issue. Obama is on his own on this debacle. He will not get many of his cohorts to carry this water.

And why would the Taliban threaten to kill Bergdahl and ruin any chance to get back their 5 buddies? Doesn't make sense.

I don't agree with Feinstein politically but this hasn't been the first time she's gone against her party's wishes. She, like Kucinich, may be my political opposites but I respect them for having a set of principles and following them even when it goes against their party machine.

And I agree with her on this. A dead prisoner was of no value to the captors. Bergdahl's life wasn't in imminent danger.

In the end this was a politically motivated move on the part of the current administration to try and gain some popularity back and deflect from their other problems. Too bad it backfired when they didn't do due diligence researching who Bergdahl really was or they figured the sheeple would just lap up their "success story" of freeing a POW without anyone questioning his background.

POW my a$$. He was a deserter for certain and possibly a traitor.
