Morgan Freeman gives pro-Obama PAC a million

(CNN) – Actor Morgan Freeman, currently starring in the latest installment of the Batman franchise, donated $1 million last month to the super PAC supporting President Barack Obama, the group's filings with the Federal Election Commission will show on Friday.

In a statement, Freeman listed the accomplishments he said spurred his donation to Priorities USA Action.

"Pres. Obama has done a remarkable job in historically difficult circumstances," Freeman wrote. "He ended combat operations in Iraq, put in place sensible reforms of Wall Street, saved the auto industry and protected the health care of every American. He has led our nation to be more tolerant and placed impressive, accomplished women on the Supreme Court."

He also called Tea Partiers racist a couple years ago on the Piers Morgan Show.

I see it every freakin' day.....it's painful to observe at times.....it's like going to the dog shelter and leaving empty handed....life isn't fair and is cruel.....they are nothing more than impoverished and hungry and were led by the same.....it sickens me how our educational system has been run for the last 50 yrs....it's all about glamor and sensationalism today......is like playing the fkn lottery with the humans in this country.....it's just fkd up....

We all make loony comments from time to time. On balance Freeman is a sober heathy contributor to conversations about race.

He has to show political range.
Since he only has the acting ability to play one just character in films.
