The need based additional monies to players
A very simple solution to this 2000 a year
To every student athlete is to use the
FASFA form (the Duke AD just stated he
Was for a need based plan)

When student loans are awarded the amount
You get is based on need.

So have one more section on the FASFA
Form for Athletes.

If the formula says you qualify for the
Full amount you get your extra money
You can even factor in the cost of things
Based on the city your school is in

The rich kid that was on the Tennis squad
Would not get the extra. Just like he
Would not qualify for a pell grant or a Perkins
Loan

This would level the playing field for all
FBS schools and would keep the wealthy
Schools from a bidding war for players to
Sign

If you are really concerned about the players
In need get taken care of this is the model
To follow.

If you just want to turn it into a pro
League for the wealthiest programs
That's another thing.

Also when they talk about the millions
College football teams are generating
It's just the top programs. Most
FBS programs Are trying to break even
And that's including student fees

What Slive Spouts off from time to time
Is not the opinion of most AD's even at
The P5 schools. Look at the comments
From Duke and the ACC Comish.

It's just negotiating skills at work
Slive is asking for a trip to the moon and hopes he
Gets a plane ride to Denver.

Slive knows full well the 10 FBS conferences
Just signed a 12 year playoff deal. That
Includes the P5 and G5 schools

So in August they will change some rules
And that will be that
