You can never judge coaches on a single team or season. Remember Stan Heath? There are tons of others.

Not to say that Hoffman is a Stan Heath. He is obviously a good coach. However, he would have to coach for a number of years to be in the same league with Rick Byrd. Now his teams played us well, but Byrd vs. Hoffman was to our favor.

I do think that Hoffman has done a good job bringing in talent and I think he's very solid with strategy. Byrd is a top offensive mind and the best last 2 minute coach in the nation.

No way Hoffman is higher than Rick.
