I can't figure out why the troll is over here? What's his beef with the Big East? Is he mad that the conference is waaaay better than he thought it would be?

I can't figure it out either. But it's interesting that Cubanbull talks about his SEC dribble. Brando and other supporters of the SEC have been the biggest detractors of the Big East. The SEC originally wanted to strip the Big East of their BCS bid. I think the SEC and their fans feel threatened. They beat each other up and it hurts their chances of competing for an at-large BCS bid and a national title. And then they see other conferences like the Big East getting BCS bids and they want it. But now that the Big East has risen back to power and control their own destiny a lot of SEC people are ticked off because that's one less BCS slot for them to take. That's my theory.

That's exactly right. Where once the SEC had a big advantage in the hunt for the championship, the landscape has shifted and they are set up to fail. They're scared to death.

Oh, and the word "dribble" being used in the thread should actually be "drivel." Sorry, old teaching habits die hard.
