Like someone else said, I commend Pastner in his commitment to the classroom. I don't like him as a coach but I do think he does many things well. He is certainly deserving of a high compliment in his handling of Geron. He had a huge hand in turning the kid into a winner and an exemplary young man. Kudos to Pastner.

Go root for Calipari then. Don't understand the hate for Pastner's coaching ability.

05-nono I'll do whatever the hell I want. I've explained my opinion 1,000 times and am not going to open up that can of worms again. Leave it to someone like you to not understand. Thanks for being consistent.

Also says you can't change 18 years of bad habits in one year as far as Dom and Kuran go, but they are really working hard at changing. Mentioned that at the beginning of last season, he would have to hold Iverson out of practice for blowing off a class. Last semester he got at 3.0. Dom is working on self control in multiple areas.

The interesting thing to me was the fact that Iverson wasn't going to class at times and so he wasn't allowed to practice which resulted in him not playing much. We had quite a few people here blast Josh for not getting Kuran in games but now that we know the rest of the story its making sense why he wasn't seeing PT

I commend Pastner for his commitment to academics and life lessons.

Mr. Rogers too.

Why are you so bitter? He seemed to be very complimentary. Are you the new Pastner attack dog?

You are opposed to classroom success and teaching better life choices for our athletes?

Too bad. Because it's a win win situation. Athletes who have skills--skills in addition to their natural ones--- mentor the next generation of better athletes. Better athletes make for better communities. Better communities is one of our two possible futures.

I heard an interview with Geron Johnson on the radio last week. Paraphrasing what he said....I love Memphis. You don't understand how Memphis is until you've lived there. Memphis people are passionate about all things Memphis--not just BB. You can't understand that till you've seen it. Someday I want to live in Memphis and coach.

Have them learn life's lessons is great.

However, I'd go root for Rhodes if that was all I was interested in.

Pastner is paid big money to win big.

5 years later we have local schools that basketball is not even their main focus (Tennessee) that have easily surprised what he has done in less time.
