Yes and no.

Believe it's the first time in close to 40 years FSU went 0-2 to start the NCAAT.

Agree. 0-2 almost never happens for FSU and simply making it to Omaha is a great accomplishment. It's at that point where FSU consistently comes up short.

THIS....is what I'm driving at.

Obviously. But that's a very narrow definition of choking. If FSU were a mediocre program that rarely made it to Omaha, they wouldn't be "chokers", as you suggest.

Hence yes and no. I assume UNC is the 3rd biggest choke artist in baseball?

No doubt UNC has choked in baseball a multitude of times, both of us have.

Agreed that you can't count Louisville yet if you are tallying ACC wins/losses, but it is certainly fair to include an incoming member here for informational purposes, especially given the number of Louisville posters on this board already.

Yes we are, but there's a big gap between 1 and 3.

Exactly. I wasn't trying to make a statement or twist stats. I was just sharing performance and we've seen this week UofL has more fans here than anyone else plus Maryland was an ACC member this season so I included them as well.

The same reason a Wahoo would discuss football?

Easy there Cochise, that only leaves you with one sport to discuss, and you probably shouldn't even bring that one up in the years that Duke edged you out of the championship game.

Yeah, puff out your chest. You're 2 - 12 against them and won one after losing 12 straight times.

Yeah, this is probably not a great time to talk smack to a FSU fan about football.

Most of those guys are catch and release people. I am a catch and eat fisherman myself! 04-cheers

RE: NCAA Baseball Regionals
GT will escape JSU today largely due to JSU base running errors costing them 2 runs and GT getting 4 hits in a row in the top of the 9th to mask their own set of ghastly errors. The lead off go ahead run got aboard, then the bunt went about 15 feet straight up and the catcher caught it ... then they got caught stealing (why you steal with the heart of the line-up at bat is beyond me) ... but then 4 straight hits covered up that steamin' pile.

Ha ... never underestimate the ability for GT to choke.

Dusty Isaacs ... ACC tournament MVP ... has loaded the bases with nobody out by walking them all.
