Can you help out a Canadian alum wanting to watch online?
I was hoping that someone out there might be willing to give me access to an ESPN friendly account this weekend (and hopefully next weekend.) I know it's a lot to ask and requires a lot of trust, but I would really grateful for the chance to see the Owls online this weekend. If you can help out, please PM me. Thanks in advance.

RE: Can you help out a Canadian alum wanting to watch online?
I found I was lucky enough to see the US Soccer friendly last night through the watch espn app, but I don't know if I'll be able to watch tonight's game, since I don't currently subscribe to ESPN through our provider. I'm in the midst of changing that, so I can't really give you anything reliable right now.

Just FYI, but I don't know if you've seen it...

Quote:Greetings from Rice on a beautiful Friday morning in advance of the start of the 2014 NCAA Regional.

I wanted to update you on ESPN’s coverage plans for the weekend. As you may remember from last year, ESPN has taken over the broadcasts of all games in the NCAA tournament. They will have several coverage options, with some games appearing on one of their network channels and the others being available as part of their ‘Watch ESPN” platform on your computer and smartphone.

Texas and Texas A&M is slated to be shown on ESPNU, while Rice and George Mason is scheduled for the web offering (ESPN3). This link should give you your best platform to find those offerings online: http://espn.go.com/watchespn/

The Watch ESPN app and offerings do require preliminary steps if you’ve not used it before. You will be asked what your TV provider is and there are some that do not support WatchESPN and if that is the case, I don’t have a secondary option for you. Any other third-parties you might find online as offering the feed are ones you should only use at your own risk. The WatchESPN app also requires verification through your provider. Best bet is to test this in advance so that you aren’t stressed out with it as our first pitch approaches.

BTW, the announcers for the broadcasts will be Tom Hart and former LSU All American Ben McDonald. No sideline or dugout reporter.

The schedule will be very fluid, and we will do the best that we can to keep you looking in the right direction.

As for radio, as always our games can be heard online through this link: http://client.stretchinternet.com/client/rice.portal

If you use twitter, you can follow the hashtag #RiceRegional for updates from the games. If we get into any weather delays, we will also update the information box on the Rice Regional Central on the website http://www.riceowls.com/sports/m-basebl/...bl-14.html

That’s it for now.

Hearing that Ben McDonald is doing our games literally just nearly ruined my weekend.

How about hustling to set up a Papadeaux's concession stand at Reckling? (And don't tell him what all they put into it.)
