What happened to this guy was not good, nor was it American. It is a sign of our downfall. Until people like Charles Barkley are held to the same standard, it does nothing to stamp out racism...never mind the fact that is that ever achievable. In fact, the reaction has created more hatred than the actual event. What is achievable is to destroy the very fabric that we were built on.
The man is entitled to his personal opinions. He has the right to privacy. He did not espouse them in the NBA arena. This man is entitled to own property. His opinions should never dictate that right. What we did is allow public outrage to play jury and judge. That is a regression in our culture as we slide back into medieval times.
It is time for people start using some logic on this matter.

You haven't even approached the truth. You are just another bigot that is quick to condemn white racism while ignoring and enabling racism from other groups.

(According to Adam Silver, who is a lawyer, with lots of sports law experience) Barkley flat out said he hates white people on air that's between Charles and his employer, TBS, as he is not bound by the NBA constitution since he is not an NBA employee and your racist ass is still making excuses for it. I'm pointing out the facts Barkley is an ex player and a commenter on many NBA games. Your silly loopholes are ridiculous. It's contract law
I'll condemn Sterling when people like you have the balls to admit your left wing double standard.
You are a disgrace. Figure out why you are wrong and admit it.
One area where he's a bit confused is that Barkley is still allowed to attend basketball games, Sterling isn't. You would think if one racist isn't allowed into the arena then another racist shouldn't be allowed in either. And if anyone wants to use Barkley's white wife as a defense then Sterling's defense is that he has a black mistress.
People like him will never face the double standard. I don't think he is even capable of understanding that there is a problem to begin with. Racism is a one way street with these people. They see racism from a certain group as justifiable payback. They buy into the "white privilege" movement.
That opens up a whole new can of worms on what the true goal of the white privilege movement hopes to achieve. It's pretty sick.
Did you ever wonder what would have happened if Barkley said he hated gays? No doubt the story would be different.

You know what, I think he would still have been given a pass.

You just can't deal with the fact Chuck and Jamie Fox don't work for the NBA and aren't subject to their rules...and the fact the board of govs never voted to make him sell the team.

freedom of speech implies the freedom to shun. I'm totally okay with what happened to this guy. but I do understand your argument.
I blame Viagra for the whole thing, by the way, but that's a totally different conversation.

So it's only racism if it happened in the NBA. Thanks for bringing yet another layer of your stupidity to the conversation.

So the moral of the story is you can be a racist and get away with it if the company you work for has rules allowing it.
