Not only are we on TV 8 times, but we will receive a share of the CUSA television contract. REAL money.

It's really great to see the ODU brand being made available to Monarch fans everywhere and to an ever-broadening audience of potential Monarch fans! I can't wait till 8/30.

EDIT: Dave told me it was a joke. Darn, and I wanted ODU football streamed DIRECTLY into my eyeballs!

sorry I read the CUSA release too quick. it will be 8pm our time and 7PM CDT.

It will be interesting to see how attendance will be affected with televised home games.

Agreed. TV will have zero impact on attendance

The bigger question (which doesn't fit this thread) is IF we lose early and often, what does that do to attendance (please emphasize the IF).

I hope Florida stations carry the games. If not, does anyone know if Monarch TV will still be streaming the games on line?

I don't see why not. it still carried them last season even if we were on TV elsewhere.

If the season were to go south on us, we would have to be a pretty sorry bunch of fans to quit on a team that has given us so much fun and happiness. I am not worried about attendance, because I don't think we are a sorry bunch of fans.

I like the sellout numbers as much as anyone but our stadium is half empty if we are up big in games. The people that leave during a blowout win are just as likely to leave during a blowout loss, not that I'm predicting any. With our schedule I think most of our games are going to end up like the Liberty and Citadel games, where the stadium was rocking, which will hopefully get us more airtime in the future.
