Pretty sure that's the way they've always announced it, but I'd have to go back and check to make sure. On the surface, it looks pretty good as @50 was announced last year...compared to @80 the year before. So, it appears as if CUSA 3 is holding serve with CUSA 2.5 which should equal more exposure per team. Looking closer, CBSSN picked up 9 games compared to 13 last year and FS1 currently lists 6 games (compared to twelve last year) with more possible. I don't know how all the Fox nets work, but I guess at 30 games that's where the 14 former CBSSN/CSS games landed. Somebody mentioned WKU providing trucks and equipment for FOX. This may explain some of their numbers?

As the release states, FS1 will have to pick up four more at a minimum but those are likely to just be pulled from the list that says FS1 or FSN. Whichever of those games goes to FS1 simply won't be shown on one of the Fox Regionals.

I suspect this is the full list of games for us as a conference. The only other games that are likely to be announced will be games where the C-USA is the road team and is picked up by that conference's package (i.e. Middle Tenn vs. Minnesota I can almost guaranteed you will be shown on the Big Ten Network).

If memory serves me correctly, there is usually 2 waves of C-USA TV accouncements. We should have some more CBS-SN and Fox games in the coming weeks.

I agree. After I wrote that I then realized that and corrected in the next post, but I'm not sure we'll see anymore with Fox. This represents a 55% increase in this first wave by Fox as they picked up the CSS slack. If any more are added I would look for CBSN to be the place.

Rice with 9 and A&M game (pending) will make 10.

Haven't looked at the list ... anyone with more? Marshall?

I think we'll get more. I suspect we'll have more than FIU, USM, and ODU before the final count is tallied.

Problem for us is we only play one of the top three or four projected teams in conference in Marshall and a weak OOC schedule.

I know the Minnesota game will be and then probably the Western game. Somebody will pick that up most likely.

Five of six Herd home games to be televised and all Saturday home games except for the Black Friday match-up with WKU. Very happy with that, not happy with only six televised games this season. Had 13 of 14 televised last season.

Yes, that was negotiated when the changes occured and actually is part of what drove who was selected in realignment. It's the same amount for the conference as a whole but will actually be slightly less per team (because there are more teams now than there were when the contract was originally signed).

The agreement for games to be shown on Comcast was with CBS Sports and not Fox, so I would be interested to learn what happened in the negotiation process that had Fox picking up that slack more than CBS. I'm guessing if there are any more games to be added they will be added to the CBS Sports Network slate. Contractually (unless they rewrote it specifically because of the CSS issue) CBS should have to pick up more games. We shall see.

I'd love to know more b/c it just doesn't seem right. CBSSN should be called out for their lackluster bball coverage (no quarterfinals) and non-committal to football this year (minimum number of broadcasts). Seems like they owe CUSA $, exposure or something.

When is the Fox live-streaming thingy supposed to be up and running, a la ESPN3 ?

Would be nice to access other C-USA games from my phone when away from home.

Bigger question for WKU fans will be are the other games going to be on ESPN 3 again? We at least are used to seeing games online as we have had 28 straight football games on some type of platform (mostly ESPN 3)....

Not sure I will spend $12 a month for the extra sports package on Direct TV for 1 or 2 games...

Where does FS2 fit in this equation? Are they again showing UFC reruns during football season...My biggest disappointment with Fox Sports is the waste that channel seems to be....

If our team lives up to the hype, all of our games will likely be picked up by CBSS or Fox.

RE: C-USA ... more that 50 tv games confirmed
The following is a reprint of the television schedule for ODU that was published in an article by Harry Minium of the Virginian-Pilot:

ODU's schedule:
Aug. 30, Hampton University, time and TV TBA
Sept. 6, at North Carolina State, 6 p.m., ESPN 3
Sept 13, Eastern Michigan, time and TV TBA
Sept. 20, at Rice, Fox Sports 1 or Fox regional, time TBA
Sept. 26, Middle Tennessee State, 8 p.m., Fox Sports 1
Oct. 4, Marshall, Fox Sports 1 or Fox Sports regional, time TBA
Oct. 11, at Texas-El Paso, time and TV TBA
Oct. 25, at Western Kentucky, time and TV TBA
Nov 1, at Vanderbilt, time and TV TBA
Nov. 8, Florida International, time and TV TBA
Nov. 22, Louisiana Tech, Fox College Sports, 1 p.m.
Nov. 29, at Florida Atlantic, time and TV TBA

According to Harry's article, four games will be broadcast by some version of Fox Sports.

It is anticipated that two home games will be televised locally (likely Hampton and one more).

Vanderbilt will be televised by the SEC, and NC State will be on ESPN-3.

That’s eight, and it is also anticipated that the Norfolk COX outlet will bid to pick up two additional away games expected to be televised in the home team’s local area (WKU and UTEP). If all of that comes together, Monarch fans in the Norfolk area will be able to view 10 games this year, though one will be on ESPN-3. Hook up the lap top and even that one is on television, so as of now, at least this ODU fan is feeling good about the Monarchs on TV.

C-USA has it's own digital network and all games not selected for tv will be available there.

You can always cancel and then take it out again if the games are in different months, unless they are back to back months...$24 for two games is not a bad deal. Cheaper than a ticket to see the games live.

I don't think espn3 picks up CUSA games.

Any Louisiana Tech fans know if the game vs WKU on Nov. 1st is homecoming? If so is homecoming usually a afternoon or evening game. I was checking Expedia to book my room for the game and ZERO hotels for that date....

which made me think Homecoming.

Guess I will go visit my friends at Duck Commander and stay in Monroe.

I should have given credit. Go to odubleedblue (below). On the right side of the page you will see a twitter list. Scroll down a couple of tweets and you will find it. I think it was originally tweeted by ODU Recruiting.

It does look pretty good doesn't it?

If your fans packed the stands for FCS, I bet you guys are psyched for this season. I'm happy to be in a conference with you guys. I think you all will adjust well, and be one of C-USA's better teams in time.
