Is a good read for anyone interested.

So if Fuente does not have a winning season how much danger is he in of being fired?

None at all. He is only going into his 3rd season, need to give him at least 5-6 seasons, IMO. We are still lacking depth at some positions, among some other things. What I expect is this being the breakthrough season, IMO.

Looking at this schedule easily see 6-6.

A heretofore credible poster in the recruiting forum says otherwise. I'm not picking sides because I am the ultimate outsider, I'm just trying to figure out who is right.

Mickey Mewes is incorrect.

Excellent analysis in the article. The Porter years were brutal. We are very lucky to have Fuente.

Under General Justin Fuente and staff, we are gonna win 8 to 9 games this year and possibly win the AAC and go go a darn good bowl and turn Memphis more into a FB school slowly but surely....We are coming up.....Just gotta lock Fuente in for longer term now....We are gonna do big things and My man Paxton is gonna breakout this year along with Donald Pennington, Kyle Wilson, Daniel Hurd, Carl Mitchell and others....The World Is Ours Memphis....

I like your optimism, TC, even if a bit unrealistic. Just having a winning season will be a big step forward for us, IMO.

Nice writeup. Refreshing to see someone actually do their homework on a column. He actually sounds like he watched some of the games last season.

6-win difference between the Dream season and the Nightmare season.
In Other Words, "I have no idea what this team will do."

Realistic.

Good write-up. As another poster said, this guy did his homework.

I think we will either be 2-4 or 3-3 through the first half of the season, and a chance at 3-3 or possible 4-2 in the second half of the season. That would put as somewhere between 5-7 up to 7-5. I think we'll be really competitive, and will have the chance to win against every opponent not named UCLA (and hey, upsets happen all the time).

I expect this team to be better than last year, and believe we will be bowling come December!

Go Tigers!
