Nobody plays defense on Toledo.

Except for the Rocket that USA Today picks for MAC Defensive Player of the Year and the Soph DL they select that 1st Team All-MAC.

WOW COOL

In those 20 preseason titles for Toledo, NIU has 2 MAC titles, almost half the Vern Smith winners, at least 6 MAC west titles (going by Toledo counting using co-champs), played in an Orange Bowl, had a Heisman finalist, two first round draft picks, and a hell of a lot more notoriety than Toledo.

Many of those preseason titles were picked by Vandelay which makes sense because it is run by a Toledo homer. You would think after 3 years in a row of being wrong though he would eventually change. I think maybe he did pick NIU last season.

Guys you are all forgetting that Toledo was recruiting champions as well, at least according to their promotional video before last year. I mean just look at how much that paid off.

I didn't count co-MAC West Championships.
NIU has 5 MAC West titles in the last 20 seasons.
Toledo has finished twice in AP Top 25 Poll during that period, NIU once.
Congrats to the Huskies for the Orange Bowl appearance, Lynch's Heisman placing and First Team AP All-American recognition. The only recent First Team All-American for Toledo was Eric Page, who made the Walter Camp All-American Team in 2010.

I didn't mean to turn this into a pissing contest. I was only making a joke. Lets keep the flaming for the season.
