I actually see them at most games unlike other members.

Her husband spoke to our entire engineering class my senior year. It was a very interesting talk. He stated that their radar detectors only had a very small market base until they took out a full page ad in playboy magazine. Once that ad hit the business boomed.

Very early on, they were a customer of mine.

As I recall, they also advertised heavily in the airline magazines, selling direct to the consumer.

Right time. Right place. Savvy businessmen.

Valentine had a partner. Forget his name.

Not sure if the disses against the other board members are necessary. FYI - Rob Richardson is also a UC alum (former student body president) and attends many games and events.

I don't know the Valentines personally but I do know they are huge at UC and as supportive of UC athletics (in every way) as any you will find.

I do not think anyone is being disrespectful towards other BOT members. The majority like to see BOT members who are past alumni and hence a vested insterest in the University. In the past the powers that be in Columbus appoint their buddies or individuals for political reasons, who typically have other agendas.

I've known 2 Trustees for many many yrs. Nobody has more UC knowledge, love and support than they do.

They still use that direct to customer model for their current company.

Even though it's not a retail store you can go to their offices to pick up a delivery...it's how I did it. I rock a V1 in my car, it's the best in the business.

Indeed great news--a fine couple who provide great support to our University as donors to a variety of academic and athletic endeavors.

I am very happy with the appointment. The board is trending in a good direction. I am also trying to figure out the nom de plume used on 247. I suppose asking for a hint is bad form?
