I bet the overall actual attendance for this event is less than 100.
Nice job Houston, though. You might host that regional yet.
Yeah, the conference really blew the site for the tourney. I feel like there would have at least been a few USF fans there if it was USF today instead of UL. All of the other tournaments had gobs of people at their sites.

(1) Congratulations Houston!
(2) Good luck to ALL AAC teams (even Louisville) playing in the NCAA Regionals and (hopefully) the CWS
(3) Beginning July 1, I honestly won't be thinking much of Louisville, one way or the other, but, that said, most Card fans in this forum seem to be pretty nice fellows and I have enjoyed the past relationship.

Congratulations, again, and THANKYOU!
As most of you already know, I attended the tournament with some of my family, had a great time and strongly recommend that you give it a try in the future. Clearwater is a GREAT place to hold it (beats hell out of the SEC's Hoover, AL (near Birmingham). My only disappointment was the fact that UCF and USF fans did not attend in decent numbers. We can all do much better (and need to). College baseball increases in importance every year.

Agreed. But our attendance seemed to be about the same as the Big East's, and until I came across the Big East title game on FS1 yesterday (Xavier beat Creighton), i didn't even know the Big East had a baseball tournament, LOL.
Our stands looked wicked empty, at least that's what we saw on the digital feeds and TV. Maybe you saw something else in the stands.

Just want to stop in and say congrats to UH! Bummer about the regional, but here's hoping UofL sees you in the CWS!

Yeah, I was very disappointed in UCF and USF's attendance. Brighthouse Field is a mere 90 minutes from Orlando. We were given two 7 PM time slots, and we certainly had a lot to play for. Can't say I was surprised, given our apathetic fan base, but I was still disappointed.
I would also highly recommend making the trip to Clearwater. I live on the coast, east of Orlando, and I stayed over near Brighthouse Field Wed-Fri. Weather was gorgeous, and I had a great time. I haven't been to many minor league/spring training stadiums, but Brighthouse Field is awesome. I loved how they have the concourse set up so that you can move around, stand up, etc. while watching the game. Not to mention its easy to get out of the sun and still watch the game. The concession food was good, too (Delco cheesesteaks are pretty good), and while they were still stadium-like prices, they weren't quite as bad as other places I've been to. Lots of places within a mile or two to eat at in the area, too (try the Lenny's for breakfast...good stuff), with a Buffalo Wild Wings and a Tilted Kilt within walking distance. Not to mention all the stuff there is to do around the Clearwater/St. Pete/Tampa area, like the beaches, Busch Gardens, fishing, Rays games, etc.
