Que Houston fans being pissed off about having to be in the same division with 3 private schools, cut block U and Memphis.
Most UH fans seemed thrilled as most year's, they will be 1 or 2 preseason favorites to win the easier West Division.
More wins, vs anyone helps you get ranked.
Isn't it just the same that Houston and SMU was in with CUSA? Tulsa, Tulane and Rice becomes Tulsa, Tulane and Navy. Still 3 private U's.

Who cares about being in a division with private schools? You're playing them on the football field, not going to chemistry class with them.

The West is going to end up winning the league most of the time.
East vs West Champ could be a toss up every year.
I could see teams from the West hosting more conf championship games because of better conf record vs East Champ.
According to a press release today on theamerican.org, the site of the CCG will be at the home site of the higher ranked division champ, not the best conference record.

With the news that Navy wants to be in the West, the obvious alignment would seem to be Tulane, Navy, SMU, Tulsa, Houston, Memphis and the others in the east.
But there must be a hangup somewhere.
I have a sneaky hunch that the hang-up is basketball-only Memphis fans who want to be in the East. I would hate that: too far to travel, plus I prefer being associated with the teams in the West, with whom we have more history.
We're not going to have divisions in basketball, so why would that matter?
