So as I write this, we have a cumulative total of 107 win votes, so the fact that 23 of those votes are v. Southeastern and that comprises 21.5% of all the votes for wins we have, doesn't mean much of anything.
If it also recorded the loss votes, then you could do a weighted average. Or just divide those 107 win votes by the number of people who have voted.
Haven't really researched Tulane yet. However the strength of their team last year was their front 7. The offense was pretty pedestrian. How does the front 7 look this year? I know you guys had a big transfer from LSU starting at DT and think he is gone.
You missed the boat. The strength of the team was the secondary, which is mostly intact and ranked as one of the best in the nation. Don't you remember Lorenzo Doss going 90+ yards with a pick 6 against ECU last year? He's back and on the watch list for best DB and best D player in the country.
The front 7 will have some new faces, but some experience as well. Davenport is the LSU transfer (he actually graduated so he came to Tulane without sitting out a year) you refer to. He didn't wrack up big stats, but did free up others to make plays, as he was a force. A 5* recruit out of HS, Davenport was moved to O-Line at LSU, where he never got higher than 2nd string. CJ put him back on the D side of the ball, and he was a force that had to be addressed.
This is still a young Tulane team on both sides of the ball. We could go 4-7 or, with a few breaks and a maturing coaching staff (it's CJ's first gig as a head coach) go 7-4. Somewhere in between is likely.

I think that was Strozier. But yes, Doss is an animal that shut down his side of the field as much as is possible against ECU.
