BTW, thanks to his very efficient and quick final two innings, McCanna threw just 43 pitches in his 4.0 innings of work. I don't see why he couldn't be ready to go again on Friday.

Just want to take my foot out of mouth for a moment and congratulate the owls on a huge and gutsy win. Hell of a performance by a tired mccanna those last 3 innings. Let's keep it up next weekend at Reckling!

At the risk of jinxing things, I would really like to see the new stadium in Omaha this year.

I have to think we are at least 50/50 for a national seed, given the resume of regular season conference champs, tournament conference champs, and a #7 RPI. OK State jumping above us with their low RPI would be unjustified, as would TCU.

I give us less than a 10% chance, as our overall resume vs. Top 25/50 pales badly next to the Top 15 teams.

The new stadium is most excellent. We went openining year (2011).

See everybody Friday at the pre-game taligate. I've got a good feeling we won't have to fly to Eugene or similar environs this year.

Have to agree with Walt here. We're probably a couple of midweek wins away from a seed.

But, one point to remember - we win a regional, there's a 30-40% chance the adjacent regional host loses at home.
