We were the home team in games 2 (FIU) and 7 (MT). Old Dominion was visitor in games 1 (MT), 5 (FIU) and 9 (MT). Old Dominion's first "home" game -- and our first as visitor -- was this morning's contest, Game 11. The current game (#13) evens the tally at two home/visitor games each.

ODU was home in game 9. As I explained earlier in the thread, they get home based on being visitor twice to our once.

Hit refresh. It is now up.

Yay! Thanks!

Making it awfully easy for ODU...
Let's just go up and swing at the first pitch every time too, so we don't tax their pitchers.

That's total crap. We're the #1 seed. We played an entire season to have an advantage in the playoffs. I could understand if ODU got one of the two games as home team, but we should be home team for at least one of these all-important games. It's crap. It makes a huge psychological difference and greatly impacts managerial strategy. #stupid #dumb #crap #stupiddumbcrap

Thanks for the correction. I see that's the case ... and d1baseball's listing of the tournament games, which I'd used, has it wrong.

Whoa, Noodle, don't confuse us with these complicated formulas.

Yep. Why should a #5 seed team from the loser's bracket get its third home game before the #1 seed?

Big hit there, if nothing else for psychological reasons. Let's keep this freshman pitcher on the ropes (and our freshman off the ropes).

Two outs, 1-1 count Teykl at bat, I would have sent Byrd also.
