MTSU - Potential Transfer
Kansas State's Leticia Romero, the Big-12 WBB Freshman of the Year, is being denied the ability to transfer schools. Because of an error by Kansas State, MTSU is the only school that can talk with her.

It would be a big grab for us if we got her. She's visiting within a couple of weeks, so it's a definite possibility!

Spent some time reading up on her trying to get a release from Kansas State. The KSU AD and wbb coach are making the NCAA look sympathetic in comparison. You'd think the KSU President would step forward and order the release.

Very strange situation. What caused it to go to appeals? Couldn't find early articles. Looks like MTSU is in an advantageous position right now.

It would be great for MT if she ends up a Lady Raider, but I'd love even more if she chose us over all a free range of schools, instead of MT being her only option.

Here's an espn.com commentary with video.

K-State yields to national pressure

Kansas State announces it has granted release of Leticia Romero under
school's new policy. She can't transfer to a Big 12 school.
