I don't think we're on the same boat at all.
Why can't left over CUSA fans stop being butt hurt and respect.

Why can't the current AAC fans just keep their azzes on their board if the only purpose is for y'all to come over here and rub your "imaginary" superiority complex in our faces?

To be fair, their superiority complex is far from imaginary.

Not really. Same teams. New title.

Superiority complex doesn't mean what you think it means;

I know what it means. Just saying that the AAC is basically CUSA remade in that it's old CUSA teams. Yes, the teams are better, but it's still just old CUSA teams. It is better in terms that new CUSA has so many new teams, a few of which are just starting out. Just goes to show what CUSA can do for teams in terms of development, etc.

It kind of bothered me at first but then I came to realize that they were using the "fake it until you make it" philosophy.

Maybe they were right all along. If you believe you deserve greatness then perhaps greatness is achievable.

If you believe that you aren't ready yet, then maybe you aren't ready yet.

I think it is a mindset thing. Personally I believe one should never be satisfied with their situation. I would hope we are never satisfied with the AAC either. Appreciate where you come from but always have a long term goal to improve your status. Why even bother if you don't?

There are plenty of people at USM who'll gladly sacrifice the overall status of the program in exchange for their own goals: control, access to the coaches and players, having "one of us" collecting the big salaries at the top, etc. They might not phrase it quite that way; they use code words like "middle-class university" and "opportunity to play for a championship."

It's so bad in fact that they even brag about their basketball prowess (oxymoron) which anyone that knows basketball knows their bragging is ludicrous.

My brother, you have no problem trolling ECU fans at any opportunity.

To be fair, it wasn't like that up to the time of the first cusa tourney in El Paso. I was actually rooting for your team then but thanks to your obnoxious fans that post here my feelings changed, drastically. I have no experience with Louisville fans but from other schools in the newest version of cusa you are the same as they are/were.

So at least you can give yourselves props for being the most un-endearing posters in this site.

I know that, you know that, we all know that; AAC is the old CUSA with a new name. But I believe you're misinterpreting my posts. All I was saying is they have a very real superiority complex. It's not a compliment.

I don't believe CUSA has ever had a mens or women's basketball national champion, or a BCS bowl champ.

A BCS football champion and women's & mens basketball champion was achieved in year 1 in the American.
How can you sit with a straight face and say CUSA is just as good as the AAC.

Y'all sent one team to the NCAA tournament who won the conference and that team is headed too the AAC..

Also had 3 bowl wins but one of the teams that won is also leaving.

The same can be said about the c-usa. It's just the old sunbelt.

Come on guys, the ECU fans did not start this thread, and it was going along without incident until a few old school trolls jumped in.
