Coach Pastner and his 3-0 record against Cuonzo says hello back.

The undeserved 2.65 says enough.

I'm no utk fan but when it mattered Counzo did more in less time under heavy fan pressure. That's called "clutch".

Boosters and administration disagree on the 2.65.

Cuonzo was the beneficiary of a good draw, it happens - look at Memphis' Elite 8 run in 2006.

You might be surprised at the truth behind number 1.

The "good draw" theory is a joke.

In 73 we got a good draw because the good teams in our region got upset.

Counzo beat a good Virginia team.

In 1973, there was really no good draw.
Only the best of the best played then.

And we beat a good Louisville team (twice). Cuonzo did not beat VA in the NCAA tourney and, I thought, that is what we were discussing - the lack of a Sweet 16 run by Pastner and the fact Cuonzo had one.

I'll give you Iowa, that was a tough play in game, but then UT got an over seeded UMass and then Mercer. Who in their right mind would not prefer to play Mercer instead of Duke in order to advance?

As far as your point on the '73 team - you PROVED my point. Sometimes you need a little luck! I.E. drawing UMass and then Mercer upsets Duke.

As a fan of memphis do you guys not feel robbed. Pastner assembled a roster of top 100 prospects for 4 years in a row and was not able to get to the sweet 16 in any of those years. Memphis is an elite program but some of the fans settle for mediocre performances. I personally think he should be on the hot seat if he doesn't do it this year because again you have a loaded roster. Give Donnie this roster and we are talking Elite 8 or bust.

Donnie couldn't even win the CUSA outright reg season champ or the automatic bid after Memphis left the league. 03-lmfao

Donnie started from scratch at each school fielding competitive teams. He is in the SEC now and has resources he has never had. He snagged a top 50 recruit in the late period. That kid could become a Westbrook like player. Donnie has also achieved more with less. He beat a Louisville team that was better than the one you beat at Morehead

That UT roster sucks quite frankly

I am a Tigers fan and season ticket holder. Section 211, row a, seats 5 and 6. Stop by and say hi this season.

I am just a bit miffed at the coach.

He was banned for this. Now he's back again, but to continue in his pre-banned ways and prevent from getting banned again, he's hoping he can continue instigating arguments and derailing threads under the guise of a UT fan. Bound and determined I'll give him that.

Devoid of meaningful purpose, is more like it.

I am truely happy that we got Donnie. He has built a roster that could contend for the SEC title and make a possible big run in the tourney. I am pump to see the recruits he will land in 15 with the resources available at UT. I think top 25 classes will become the norm under DT!

Who give's a rat's ass?

My intentions are pure and I hope Pastner comes around to playing us again. You guys need us and we need to keep our alumni happy in the Memphis area.

Did you get one?
