It does matter, and if form holds, it's probably administrators.
We need to pay teachers more and get rid of a bunch of administrators.

Virtually all on this list are school administrators.
However, if you get the full list, you can see that police, firemen and guards, often get 6 figure pensions.
The largest problem with NY is that the pension is based upon the final 3 years W-2 earnings, which includes overtime and cash-in payments for unused sick, vacation and personal time. These provisions can increase pensions drastically. In one well documented case, a retiring Buffalo policeman, worked 363 days his final year of duty.
