RE: ACC Baseball Tournament
I don't get how it's hurting the ACC. Since 2006, the ACC has had a representative in the CWS about 17 times. That averages out to be over 2 a year. The problem is the teams choke when they get there and my school has been arguably the biggest one. We've been to the CWS more than any team in the nation since 2006 and have yet to win it. It has nothing to do with the ACC tournament. Sometimes it's just boneheaded plays or going against a team that got hot (see UCLA last year).

The ACC tournament format is not harming teams being able to get to Omaha. The conference just needs to step up when they get there.

I don't think the format "hurts" teams but I think making teams play completely meaningless game 3's like everybody did on Saturday is pretty stupid.

Sometimes winning a game three gets people into the tournament.

Sometimes an additional loss takes people out.

RE: ACC Baseball Tournament
So in that sense it becomes a wash. Either way, it's not necessarily stupid.

Playing a meaningless game in the postseason is stupid, yes.

It can't be meaningless if teams can get in or be left out of the postseason with that game.
