There's two transparency issues in her mind. Republican and Demoncratic. If you ever wonder if the people in Califa are stupid, just check out how many terms this woman has been elected. Al Sharpton would be wise to move to Califa and run for office, he'd win in a landslide.

That's a ridiculous comment. Re-election rates for congress are basically the same in every state. R and D both.

While that plays a small part, you can't discount the huge advantage incumbents have with name recognition and cash since they are all millionaires. But gerrymandered districts play a HUGE role as well. And yes, both R's and D's play that game.

Of course. I understand the name recognition and such. But until we the people want a real change in this country, perhaps they should b*tch a little less. I find sh*t like term limits as an excuse for lazy voters to put someone new into office. Send incumbents packing if we're against their policies.

I agree with term limits as people tend to vote in their incumbents endlessly without checking what their positions are. It is laziness and stupidity all in one. Here in El Paso pols have a job for life if there's a D in front of their name regardless of their record. A Republican has no chance.

I used to work for a company whose headquarters was in the Bay area*. The folks out there actually think Pelosi's political views are "mainstream". She riles up conservatives and for that, they love her.


* For the record I work in an industry that is politically conservative in nature. That being said, the conservative folks I ran across in the Bay area would be considered "Center-Left" most anywhere else.

That being the Bay Area I'd agree.

I think democrats need to proceed carefully here. If their efforts come across as nothing but disruption, could put them in a very bad light, particularly if the committee manages to come up with anything tangible despite those efforts.

I'd put it at maybe 50-50 that this will actually lead to something. The administration has had plenty of time to circle the wagons. If Gowdy lets his emotions get the better of him the way Issa has, I don't think much will come of it. But I think Gowdy may be smarter than that.

Why were repeated requests for additional security ignored?

Why was no one mobilized to assist? Wouldn't you have to know how long an attack was going to last to know whether you could get anything there in time?

What's up with the damn youtube video nobody watched?

3, 7, however many hearings and we still don't know the answer to those simple questions.
