Wow!! Dueling Luke Lowerys! How weird is that? ECU Luke wacks USM Lowery for a two run single. ECU leads 6-4.

Man! USM just committed their 5th error of the game, making it 7-4 ECU. Luke Lowery still pitching. Luke Lowery the other guy now on third.

Bases are loaded again. I don't hear Foghorn any more so he might have gone out for a beer, so to speak. My concern is great. New pitcher replaces USM's Lowery clone.

Still 7-4 with ECU in the lead heading to the seventh. USM has more errors than hits, five to four. Each team has their own version of Luke Lowery. JP is still doing the game. Foghorn Leghorn realized he was at the wrong game and has left the building.

Hey, another drop by USM. It's not an error on a technicality. It was a foul ball. so 5 and a half errors then.

Some action again. USM scores two on a two out bases loaded single to make it 8-6. It's the bottom of the seventh.

USM's big offensive cheer is "throw it in the dirt (hey!)" They have something going in the bottom of the eighth with two on and no outs. All I can say is throw it in the dirt. Hey.

8-7 ECU going to the ninth. ECU has yet to throw it in the dirt, hey?

Back to back two out doubles tie it in the bottom of the ninth. 8-8.

USM starts the ninth with their sixth error. Wonder what the record is in Conference USA tournament games? There was a seventh error which was called a hit in the eighth.

In the top of the ninth the USM coach gets tossed for arguing balls and strikes.

ECU receives a bases loaded walk to go ahead 9-8 in the top of the tenth. Bases still loaded.

ECU Pirates win 9-8 in eleven innings.

Elimination games at 9 and 12:30 tomorrow. Owls vs Middle Tennessee at 4 or thereabouts. ECU and UTSA at 7:30.

FIU and ODU are scoreless in the bottom of the third. ODU left the bases loaded in the third. Normally I'd be or but I'm watching the losers' bracket games so you don't have to.

It's not true that no one showed up for the game. I can count 23 people in the stands so far (as far as the camera can see.).

Disaster strikes FIU in the top of the fourth. FIU's ace pitcher Franco appears to be injured trying to field a bunt and throws the ball into right, moving runners to second and third. It looks bad for Franco, who is still down with a left knee injury. He needs assistance to get off the field. The catcher also went down but seems to have recovered. The crowd of 23 is hushed. Not that they were making any noise before.

Cardenas, with a .093 ERA but only 9.1 innings pitched replaces Franco and finishes the inning without giving up a run.

Aramis Garcia homers for FIU in the bottom of the inning for a 1-0 FIU lead in the bottom of the fourth.
