RE: All Conference Baseball Awards
Congrats to all! I think Jeff Hoffman (ECU) would have had pitcher of the year if he stayed healthy
As a UTSA fan, I was pulling for Mike Warren (SR, 1B) as player of the year. Guy has a team high BA and leads CUSA in RBI's

Also a bit miffed on UTSA catcher - John Bormann not even making the 2nd team. The guy lead CUSA in throw outs this year by a wide margin and has been on the Johnny Bench award watchlist for 2 years. Its almost impossible to steal on the guy.

Have to say that I would have rather seen Miller get the award because he was actually healthy the whole year and was an absolute monster in C-USA play.
Garcia certainly had a hell of a season when he was healthy...but I just don't think you should be eligible for C-USA Player of the Year when you miss 12 games, including three C-USA series.

I think you probably could have gone either way on him or Reeves for second team. It comes down to whether or not offense or defense is valued more. Reeves was much better on offense. Bormann was much better on defense.
I'd personally give the edge to Bormann because Reeves was absolutely abysmal when it came to throwing out runners and Bormann was at least competent on offense. Unfortunately, offense is the main factor when it comes to these things.

Yeah good point. I was just bummed for Bormann since he will likely be leaving us year since catchers are always in high demand. Scouts were all over him this year because of his intangibles. His hitting was decent but that can easily improve at the next level. Regardless, congrats to all! It's a great accomplishment in a tough conference
